Homeoffice Expression of Interest: Business Development Consultant – Green Climate Fund (GCF) Portfolio at Abt Global Inc.

Proposed Scope of Consultancy

The role will provide flexible support to:

• Lead or contribute to preparation of GCF tender submissions and related assignments.
• Build and manage relationships with AEs, Pacific governments, and regional partners.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities aligned with Abt’s climate finance strategy.
• Provide advice on positioning, portfolio development, and partner engagement.

Core Responsibilities of Consultancy

• Lead or support preparation of GCF funding proposals and tender submissions.
• Coordinate with Accredited Entities, government counterparts, and Pacific regional stakeholders to progress Abt’s GCF pipeline.
• Provide analysis and advice on climate finance trends, opportunities, and positioning.
• Build and maintain relationships that support Abt’s long-term engagement with the GCF.
• Contribute to internal strategy discussions on portfolio growth and partner engagement.

What We Value

• Demonstrated experience with GCF or comparable climate finance mechanisms.
• Strong business development and tender preparation skills (writing, compliance, bid strategy).
• Proven stakeholder engagement with governments, donors, and/or Pacific institutions.
• Ability to balance hands-on proposal delivery with forward-looking strategic advice.
• Desirable: prior work in the Pacific region; ability to work in Australin/Pacific time-zones.
