We are currently seeking an In-Shop Service Technician to join our Service Team in Farmers Branch. This role is responsible for maintaining existing office equipment and preparing new devices—such as copiers and printers—for deployment. Prior experience with Ricoh products is highly preferred. Some driving on occasion may be required.

Requirements

  

Summary 

Assist with staging equipment for in-shop equipment setup and delivery preparation. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Set-up / prep all new equipment and perform full operational checks including necessary adjustments and firmware updates.  
  • Stage equipment for delivery team to load onto delivery trucks. 
  • Assist with managing stock of hardware, parts and supplies 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area including removing trash daily. 
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.   

Secondary Objectives: 

  • Receive all stock, parts, equipment and supplies in a timely and accurate manner.  
  • Allocate all equipment and supplies.  
  • Perform periodic inventory checks and balances and maintain an appropriate level of variances.  
  • Performs a full range of Field Service support: servicing and repair service procedures including diagnostics, installation, removal and retrofits on assigned equipment. 
  • Performs troubleshooting and repairs or replaces equipment components as necessary.  
  • Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.

Job Overview

Demonstrates technical expertise -

  • Performs a full range of service diagnostics and repair. Procedures include diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on assigned equipment.
  • Performs Basic Connected installations, sets up IP addresses, downloads printer drivers and provides customer training on      printing functions.
  • Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignment.
  • Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.

Customer Service -

  • Interacts with internal customers for the purpose of determining service needs on equipment and ensuring overall high level of      customer satisfaction with the service performed.
  • Provides technical assistance to less experienced technicians.
  • Exhibits professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Maintains productive, professional relationships with all company personnel.
  • Is a positive and contributing team member.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or      equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires journeyman level technical knowledge typically gained through completion of technical school and 2+ years of      related experience.
