Position overview
Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) is hiring a Controlling Intern for its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The position will support the Financial Analyst in the preparation of monthly financial reports, as well as assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process. This position will also assist with various projects to provide financial support and analysis. Candidates must be available to intern from mid-November 2025 – mid-May 2026 (6-month internship) for 40 hours per week.
The PCNA Controlling team is responsible for preparing and reporting accurate financial performance information and directs the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with all departments to establish realistic and achievable targets and plans.
Strong analytical, accounting and communication skills are necessary for this position. This role requires the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position reports to the Financial Analyst.
Roles & responsibilities
- Assist with monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Assist with Preview forecasting and implementation.
- Create and maintain monthly analysis reports for assigned areas.
- Assist with tracking assigned accruals during month end close.
- Work with department managers and teams to provide financial support and analysis.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects as assigned.
- Learn and utilize financial software and tools as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Undergraduate degree (or junior or senior actively pursuing an undergraduate degree) in finance, accounting or equivalent at an accredited college or university.
Skills:
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and finance principles.
- Detail oriented analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks with strong time management skills
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- A passion for learning, a proactive approach to acquiring new skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Collaborative and supportive in team settings.
- Values human connection and enjoys building relationships.
- Communicates clearly, respectfully, and is open to feedback.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
