About the Department

Responsible for initiating, coordinating, and performing the clerical functions of the Workforce and Industry Department in a manner that supports high quality service to students, the department, and the campus community.
Position Duties
- Maintain accurate and efficient course registrations for Workforce and Community courses.
- Ensure enrollment and billing information from online registrations are sent to the Business Office in a timely manner.
- Assist Associate Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Operations with ICR and other required reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records and departmental information.
- Answers and routes phone calls, greets visitors, handles inquiries from the public and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous, and professional manner.
- Assists in preparing approval/accreditation requirements reports.
- Prepares purchase requisitions, work orders, travel requests, time sheets, and other items as needed.
- Orders and distributes office supplies, operates office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, etc.) and coordinates incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Adheres to all institutional policies and procedures.
- Support the Dean, Associate Dean and Program Coordinators to maintain high quality documentation to the department and community.
- Provides comprehensive data entry to maintain course and departmental files.
- Assist with the maintaining of accurate records.
- Assist students with course information in-person, by phone, e-mails and direct to classrooms as needed.
- Provide clerical support and general office administration tasks to department as needed.
- Maintain departmental web presence.
- Ensure a Student-Centered Environment while supporting the Dean, Associate Dean, Coordinators, and Faculty.
- Work collaboratively to solve interdepartmental issues.
- Perform additional duties as needed that may not be specified in this job description when requested by the Dean.
- May drive college-owned vehicles
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Business, Office Systems Administration, or a related field or relevant work experience. Ability to work with diverse groups of people in a multifaceted workplace. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Competent in Microsoft Office with solid computer skills.
