Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
- Direct and oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of the agency’s revenue cycle activities, including client/patient access, registration, scheduling, authorization, billing/coding, collections, charge master, revenue integrity, etc.
- Interact directly with operational and service line leads to ensure daily operations are efficient and effective; identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate to assure implementation; ensure alignment on vision and strategy
- Provide daily leadership, support, direction, and training to the Billing, Fintake, front desk and Intake teams
- Identify need for standardization and adoption of processes, reporting, and the revenue cycle model across the agency
- Serve as the key strategic leader in maximizing self-pay and commercial insurance collections processes, technology, and favorably impacting the client/patient experience
- Manage relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials; lead the negotiation of payer contracts and management of strategic relationships with payers
- Establish, monitor and meet goals and performance expectations for agreed upon KPIs
- Remain abreast of all developments in the RCM space, especially as they apply to client/patient access, billing, collections, coding and healthcare reimbursement
- Collaborate with Human Resources to develop, implement, and maintain effective strategies for the recruitment and retention of a culturally diverse team; lead team members using a performance management process that includes goal setting, routine feedback, and ongoing development.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5+ years or relevant revenue cycle leadership experience with a proven track record of progressively responsible positions in a complex healthcare related organization.
- A high degree of professional finance knowledge in order to provide the technical direction and resource background to ensure the development and maintenance of sound and effective revenue cycle processes.
- Working knowledge in the areas of scheduling, client/patient access, precertification & insurance verification, billing & collection, accounts receivable (AR) and cash management requirements, medical records, documentation integrity, utilization review, Charge Auditing, HIPAA standards, managed care contractual terms and requirements, health insurance practices, industry regulatory requirements, business office operations, AR and financial reporting technology, and industry standards for healthcare revenue resolution management practices.

- Financial management skills, including the ability to financially analyze data for operations, budgeting, auditing, forecasting; basic accounting knowledge; AR analysis, market analysis; staffing and financial reporting skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
- Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
- Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
- Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
- Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
