About the role
AGL’s BESS Operations team have a newly created and exciting opportunity for a Site Technician (BESS)
Based at our newly transition Liddell site, you will be reporting into the Site Team Leader and assisting with the operation and maintenance of AGL’s growing grid-scale battery fleet.
AGL’s ambitious energy targets of 12GW of new renewable and firming capacity by 2035 see grid-scale batteries as a key part of our asset portfolio. This role will provide long-term growth and exposure to a variety of different projects and opportunities across the region.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing BESS service, repair schedules and operational management plans.
- Working with multidisciplined team of engineers, operators and technicians.
- Providing leadership and management of AGL’s contractor management system.
- Managing permit to work systems.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure BESS maintenance activities are delivered on time.
What you’ll bring:
- Trade qualification in electrical discipline and High Voltage switching operations certificate
- Capability with varied software systems including SCADA, permitting systems, maintenance systems and similar.
- NSW Drivers’ license
- Experience in permit creation and workflow management
- Demonstrated risk management experience including hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation/preventative control awareness.
