Delivery Coordinator at The Baker Group

PURPOSE

The Delivery Coordinator will perform standard truck driver duties, including transporting orders, loading and unloading trucks and organizing incoming packages.  This role may involve flexibility with a work schedule that is subject to change, with an occasional need to work weekends and overtime, based on the needs of the business.  Performs related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Sort and organize incoming packages by designated delivery sites
• Load and unload trucks and orders for transport
• Safely transport and deliver a variety of products and materials to in and out of state locations
• Assist with inventory management and control
• Ensure accurate daily reporting of time and equipment

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• At least one year of experience in transportation or warehouse operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with strong data entry skills

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Class A CDL license, valid driver’s license and good driving record

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a detail-oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills  
• Committed to following established company safety protocols
• Ability to adapt to a changing work schedule, with the occasional need to work weekends and/or overtime
• Heavy lifting may be involved

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and more occasionally
• Warehouse:  Ability to operate a forklift vehicle
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and crouch
• Ability to work in a variety of temperature and weather conditions
