Job Description This is an internal promotional opportunity limited to ISU employees. Consistent with Idaho State University’s (ISU) Strategic Goal Three: Cultivate External Partnerships; Goal Four: Expand Research, Clinical, and Creative Activities; and, Goal Five: Energize the Bengal Community, the Associate Vice President for Research (AVPR) for Innovation Partnerships’s role shall encompass the cultivation of research-focused external strategic alliances, strategic planning, operational oversight, and assist with faculty support. The AVPR-IP will provide comprehensive support to the Vice President for Research and Economic Development (VPRED) in advancing the university's research mission, cultivating a robust research environment, and developing strong research partnerships and alliances within and external to ISU. Minimum Qualifications ● Collaboration experience with the Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC).
● Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a relevant discipline.
● Associate or full professor with tenure at a research-engaged university, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
● Substantial experience in research leadership or a related professional domain.
● Comprehensive knowledge of research funding mechanisms and regulatory compliance requirements.
● Proven leadership and executive management acumen.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
● Demonstrated capacity for collaborative work with faculty, staff, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
● Industry partnership development experience.
Additional Information

Salary will be between $140,000 - $151,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
