Positions: Supervisor of Early Childhood

Qualifications: ? Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field, with valid state teaching and administrative/supervisory certification. ? Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including classroom instruction, leadership of high-quality preschool programs, and supporting preschool enrollment initiatives. ? Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and coach instructional and non-instructional staff to ensure program quality and student success. ? Knowledge of New Jersey Preschool Standards and Implementation Guidelines, Early Childhood Curriculum frameworks, and assessment tools (e.g., ECERS-3, TPOT, SGO data). ? Strong skills in program planning, family and community engagement, data-driven decision-making, and fostering inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning environments that support student enrollment and retention. ? Strong skills in planning and coordinating preschool programs, engaging families and community partners, and implementing strategies to support full enrollment, student participation, and high-quality learning experiences
Responsibilities: ? Program Oversight & Compliance Ensure district and provider-operated preschool programs are in compliance with state and district requirements, including alignment with the New Jersey Preschool Standards and Implementation Guidelines, while maintaining high-quality learning environments. ? Instructional Leadership & Staff Support Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to teachers, instructional and non-instructional staff, and contracted provider directors to strengthen classroom practices, program quality, and student learning ? Family & Community Engagement Plan and coordinate programs such as Preschool Orientation, Transition Night, and family workshops while building strong partnerships with families, community agencies, and provider directors through events and outreach that promote preschool enrollment, student success, and ongoing family engagement. ? Collaboration & Student Support Collaborate with district administrators and departments, including Special Services and ESL, as well as instructional staff, to promote high-quality inclusive education and ensure preschool students are served in high-quality learning environments ? Data-Driven Planning & Program Improvement Collect, analyze, and use data from assessments (e.g., ECERS-3, TPOT, SGO results) and enrollment trends to guide program goals, planning, and decision-making, ensuring continuous improvement across district and provider classrooms.
Program Duration: 2025 – 2026 School Year
Hours: As per collective bargaining agreement
Salary: As per collective bargaining agreement (Pending Availability of Funds)
