Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects focused on process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency across clinical and administrative functions.
  • Conduct current-state workflow assessments and facilitate the design of future-state workflows, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key functions within the medical group.
  • Create detailed process maps, leveraging tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or comparable software.
  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, including scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Track and report progress on multiple initiatives using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or equivalent).
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to streamline workflows related to:
    - Clinical care documentation
    - Revenue cycle processes
    - Patient arrival, registration, and check-in/check-out
    - Provider recruitment and onboarding
    - Referral management and coordination
    - Provider credentialing and privileging
  • Partner with IT and clinical teams to ensure workflows align with electronic medical record (EMR) functionality and optimization.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, project updates, and outcome reports to senior leadership.
  • Serve as a change agent to drive adoption of new workflows and processes, including training and communication support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management within a healthcare or medical group setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical group operations, workflows, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with process mapping and documentation.
  • Proficiency with project management software and workflow mapping tools.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and related clinical/administrative workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across clinical and administrative teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
