Position Summary: 

The Returns Associate, 2nd Shift position is responsible for processing and managing returned goods and rental equipment using Total Warehouse Logistics (TWL) and SX Enterprise (SX.e) systems. Additional duties include accurately entering return transactions, inspecting and organizing industrial gas cylinders, rental equipment, and linear products, and ensuring proper credit issuance and documentation. This position involves maintaining inventory integrity, completing return checklists, and supporting overall departmental workflow as needed. The Returns Associate, 2nd Shift, provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture. 


Essential Functions: 

  • Utilize Total Warehouse Logistics (TWL) and SX Enterprise (SX.e) software to enter returned items accurately while maintaining full transactional transparency regarding the material being credited.
  • Identify and organize returned industrial gas cylinders to the proper empty cylinder locations and create/receive customer credit based on the tank cores returned.
  • Examine returned rental equipment and complete the appropriate return checklist form to make sure the equipment is viable and complete to be sent out to the next customer along with creating/receiving the proper credit paperwork and creating the subsequent rental billing.
  • Identify, sort, inspect, clean all returned linear product and create the appropriate customer return credit along with receiving that linear product to the appropriate location for put away back into physical inventory.
  • Maintain adequate documentation and records.
  • Help alleviate workflow reduction within returns department on a as needed basis
  • Adhere to all company safety rules, standards, and guidelines. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned  

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
  • Requires a positive attitude and ability to function both independently and in a team setting.
  • Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position  

Required Experience and Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • One year of prior warehouse experience or in a similar role preferred. 
  • Prior forklift experience preferred.

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. 
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires visual, hearing and speech acuity. 
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes. 
  • Ability to use hands to operate office equipment.
