Position Overview
The Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of healthcare quality initiatives. This role involves data analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Strong communication, technical proficiency, and knowledge of QI methodologies are essential.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Risk and Quality/HEDIS.
Responsibilities:
· Supporting Quality Improvement Initiatives:
The QI Coordinator works with teams to develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement plans.
· Data Collection and Analysis:
Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to quality metrics, using this information to identify areas for improvement.
· Project Management:
Assist in managing quality improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
· Reporting and Communication:
· Prepare reports on quality improvement activities, communicate findings to stakeholders, and facilitate communication between teams.
· Education and Training:
May be involved in educating staff on quality improvement methodologies and best practices.
· Compliance:
Ensure that quality improvement activities align with relevant regulations and standards.
· Maintaining Documentation:
Create and update documentation related to quality improvement processes and policies.
· Interpersonal Skills:
Collaborate with various departments, fostering positive relationships and promoting a culture of quality.
· Technical Skills:
Proficient in using healthcare management software, data analysis tools, Microsoft office suite and other relevant technology.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
· CPC preferred or other coding license a plus
· Understanding of ICD-10 codes, HEDIS Quality and STARs
· 2 or more years in a similar role
Professional Competencies
· Knowledge and understanding of QI methodologies
· Ability to design and implement QI initiatives
· Familiarity with healthcare quality standards and benchmarks
· Clear and concise report writing for diverse audiences
· Presentation skills for sharing findings with stakeholders
· Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
· Understanding of CMS healthcare regulations
· Ensuring QI activities meet legal and ethical standards
· Ability to work across departments
· Promote teamwork and shared accountability.

Schedule:
- Full-time onsite (100% in-office)
- Hours of operations: 9am – 6pm
- Standard business hours Monday to Friday/weekends as needed
- Occasional travel may be required for meetings and training sessions.
