About the role
As the Solutions Management Lead, you will lead the Solutions Management team that delivers solutions for changing and onboarding customers (including customer integration analysis) and facing into key GMS, GTS and country unit stakeholders primarily in the US and also in the UK and Europe. This team delivers cost effective, technically effective and compliant solution proposals that enable the wider business to sell to customers and onboard them effectively.  You must be able to present these solutions with strength and understanding. 


What you’ll be doing

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership (40%)

  • Own the stakeholder interface with key senior stakeholders in respect of solutions management, building and maintaining high quality relationships with senior and key country unit, GMS, and GTS stakeholders primarily in the US and also 
    in the UK and Europe, ensuring that the team maintains a locally skilled and informed presence that means it can operate in each of these markets. 
  • Build and maintain high quality relationships with GIS Strategic Business Partners, ensuring they have the insight and information they need to both respond to challenges and escalations as well deal with new incoming requirements from 
    the business. 
  • Lead and develop the team, creating a culture of personal and professional development that drives excellence and enables career progression.   
  • Maintain a forecast of the resources required in the team, ensuring appropriate utilization and resource planning looking ahead. 
  • Contribute to the management of the Customer Enablement P&L, being familiar with and in control of relevant costs.   
  • Contribute to Customer Enablement reporting ensuring that key GIS and other stakeholders have appropriate insight into customer progress and developing patterns and themes. 
  • Be a point of escalation relating to solutions management (and where needed more broadly working as part of the Customer Enablement leadership team) working to manage business stakeholders.  
  • Put together effective technology solutions and manage into a broader campaign ad bid.
  • Ensure that new and changing solution requirements are owned end to end.

PreSales & Change (60%)

  • Lead a team of skilled solutions managers considering all dimensions of the customer, business and technology and who:
    • Create tooling solutions supporting CC standards but enabling variation, costed effectively and accurately, providing a statement of work to the bid process. 
    • Monitor and participate in the pipeline and deal lifecycle, understanding the likely demands and patterns (both technical and commercial) arising. 
    • Oversee the solution throughout the project lifecycle ensuring its integrity, ensuring appropriate input and compliance regarding security, enabling adaptation where required and providing suitable support to the project team. 
    • Extract key lessons and insights from each piece of work and ensure these are used to improve in future work. 
    • Contribute to the optimization of costs and time through effective solutions and detecting opportunities for optimization.
  • Lead a team of business analysts carrying out customer integration related work in service of effective onboarding and service to customers.


What you have 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of GIS operating model
  • Experience with industry frameworks (ITIL, SAFe, DevOps) 
  • Good knowledge and experience of SAP, MS Office, and MS Teams
  • Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills
  • Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language
  • Good self-organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and show initiative and enthusiasm
  • Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations
  • Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of product supply chains
  • Commercially astute
  • Team-oriented working and thinking
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
