The Role
As the Program Director at Alsana, you will manage the operations of a specific program, including direct care staffing, milieu management, and client scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with Director of Clinical Services to manage clinical issues that affect the milieu and assists in implementing corrective actions.
- Provides continuity and serves as liaison between treatment team, clients, and direct care staff.
- Facilitates/co-facilitates groups as appropriate to licensure and scheduling needs.
- Attends and participates in daily clinical meetings as appropriate.
- Assists in the coordination of family week.
- Orients new clients to Alsana’s policies and procedures and welcomes new clients into community.
- Hires, trains, manages, and supervises direct care staff, coordinators and housekeeping (as appropriate) including screening, interviewing, scheduling to census, conducting performance reviews and chart reviews/audits.
- Responsible for staffing efficiencies including time off and overtime management.
- Reviews Alsana policy and procedures and assist in changes needed to system.
- Coordinates admissions/transitions to program, working closely with Director of Clinical Services and intake team.
- Executes discharge/transitions out of program and coordinates with appropriate parties to ensure a smooth transition to the next level of care.
- Ensures new admissions are firmly integrated into the milieu within the first 24 hours.
- Monitors and assesses staff morale and builds team spirit and continuity. Intervenes and addresses staff issues that may come forward. Partner with People Operations when necessary to ensure proper performance management process is being followed.
- Assists to improve efficiency and effectiveness of all operations at assigned programs.
- Ensures the Environment of Care is safe, clean and conducive to client recovery.
- Reviews client pass requests and communicates with direct care.
- Oversees client privileges (obs., meal plans, safety restrictions, etc.) on client board daily.
- Oversees client housing and ensures client safety and cleanliness. Communicates apartment needs with the facility manager, maintenance, and VP of Operations.
- Maintains bed logs for each applicable program.
- Address and document attendance concerns with staff when needed.
- Communicates client insurance coverage with clients.
- Communicates housekeeping/maintenance issues on a weekly basis to Director of Clinical Services to assure that the property is operating within standards of accrediting bodies.
- Promotes nursing team and direct care integration and collaboration.
- Maintains receipts and invoices for operational costs.
- Coordinates holiday programming.
- In conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services, communicates treatment plan updates/attendance to UR.
- Assists Director of Clinical Services in overseeing the daily operations of Alsana’s outpatient housing, including conducting and documenting apartment checks, and communicating issues with the building manager and the Director of Clinical Services.
- Assists in managing inventory for the operational function of applicable sites, to include client, outpatient housing, and office supplies.
- On-Call Responsibilities.
- Upholds client confidentiality and maintains professional boundaries, demeanor, dress and interaction with clients, family members, visitors and coworkers.
- Demonstrates positive attitude toward work and the workplace with behavior that supports administrative and facility decisions; creates atmosphere of mutual trust, harmony, acceptance and respect within the community.
- Maintains physical and psychological safety of all potential and current clients always served in both Alsana residential & outpatient programs.
- Always upholds the confidentiality of client protective health information as well as the organization.
- Has reliable attendance and is punctual, adhering to their work schedules.
- Serves as a representative of Alsana, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with Alsana team members, clients, and outside partners.
- Performs all duties to the highest ethical standard and complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices and standards of client care.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Participate as a team member, collaborating with and providing excellent customer service to Alsana employees and other internal and external individuals.
- Displays enthusiasm, positive problem solving and commitment to help both colleagues and the organization reach its goals.
- Assist with other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline; Bachelors degree in a relevant field plus experience would be acceptable.
- Having a therapy license is preferred
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership role and a minimum of 2+ years of recent experience related to eating disordered clients (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in the behavioral health industry.
- Experience in partnering with an executive team.
- High level of written and oral communication skills.
- Eligible for registration with relevant professional association.
- Must be proficient in a Windows environment and Microsoft Office 365 products.
Salary is $75,000- $80,000. Any offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications and location.
