Elder Nutrition Van Driver - Closes 10/6/25

This rewarding position helps elders with maintaining their quality of life. 

SUMMARY:

Drives bus/van to transport Elders to and from the congregate meal site. Delivers meals to clients in the Title VI Elder Nutrition Program. Assists clients with transportation needs and Title VI program requirements. Performs necessary functions for maintenance of vehicle and records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provides other transportation services when authorized by the Elder Nutrition Supervisor.

• Assists clients in and out of vehicle and with other travel requirements as needed.

• Delivers meals to home-bound clients and collects donations for meals.

• Picks up and delivers supplies as needed for the program.

• Keeps vehicle clean and follows standards.

• Records mileage and names of riders daily.

• Makes daily report of donations.

• Makes quarterly reports of activities for Title VI requirements.

• Does yearly re-certification of home delivered meal clients.

• Assists in the kitchen and dining area as needed.

• Attends assigned meetings.

• Reports safety and/or other issues to supervisor.

• Adheres to accreditation and compliance standards/guidelines.

• Maintains a professional, organized, and clean working environment by following organizational policies, guidelines, and safety standards.

• Assists in development of departmental policy, procedures, and quality improvement activities within the clinic as directed.

• Performs other tasks as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Level I: High school diploma or equivalent.

Level II: Requires one year of experience.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

• Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
