JOB SUMMARY |
- Perform project management and estimating, overall administrative and technical management on assigned transmission and distribution projects, from bid preparation through final client acceptance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of construction management required (Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience are also acceptable).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS |
- Must have a safe driving record and a valid driver’s license according to legal requirements.

- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, codes); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety is required.
- Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule & on budget.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to resolve disputes.
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills are essential.
- Requires self-motivated personal drive, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
- The individual should be able to identify and resolve problems quickly and gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Manage difficult customer and employee situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires strong leadership & organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects promptly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Provide initial client contact to assess the scope of work and resources required to complete the project successfully.
- Prepare a complete project estimate (with training and guidance) for the selected project with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting.
- Supervise total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, codes & standards, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
- Investigate any situations with potential project impacts, mitigate wherever possible, and initiate correcting actions as necessary.
- Supervise craft employees by working closely with the on-site foreman and Superintendent.
- May have to supervise the work of sub-contractors as required by the contract.
- Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretations of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required). Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
- Responsible for the productivity of crafts, efficient use of material and equipment, and contractual performance/compliance with the project.
- Track the progress of craft and subcontractors to ensure the project stays on schedule.
- Develop and execute a recovery plan if the schedule is negatively affected.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all project documentation, including but not limited to correspondence, billing, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, schedules, etc.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
