SUMMARY
The Electronic Payment Specialist will support the Accounting Department by fulfilling daily requests for electronic payments to outside vendors and internal companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
- Daily Electronic Payment Processing: role is responsible for initiating banking transactions to include wire payments, internal bank transfers, and ACH payments on multiple online banking platforms.
- Maintain, coordinate, and communicate electronic payment processes. The Payment Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end process, from initiation of transaction on online portals, to recording final release on internal documentation and tracking systems.
- Review all electronic payment requests, including confirmation of all required documentation, internal approvals, and verbal verification of payment instructions for outside vendors. A Payment Specialist is also responsible for tracking historical data for past vendors.
- Responsible for submitting positive pay files to online banking platforms.
- Assist with reconciliation of company credit card transactions on the company's online credit card platform.
- Assist with maintenance and adoption of the corporate travel program platform.
- Compliance: ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Communication: communicate with banks, financial institutions, and internal departments to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Cash Management or CFO.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (Preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role with exposure to cash management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Treasure management software or financial systems a PLUS
- Experience with commercial banking, relationship banking, retail banking, or transactional reconciliation is HIGHLY preferred.

WORK CONDITIONS
You are required to work in enclosed office spaces in a climate-controlled environment. Noise levels will be moderate due to office equipment, foot traffic, telephones, and meetings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, employees must be able to engage in routine physical activities, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and using their hands for typing and handling materials.
Employees must be capable of lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds and possess adequate visual abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required for training, property support, or other job-related needs.
