About the Job:

 

The Mobile Maintenance Senior Planner will lead and manage all aspects of the Planning, Scheduling and Condition Based Monitoring programs within the mobile maintenance department. Direct responsibilities include but are not limited to PCR planning and scheduling, Component tracking, Oil analysis interpretation, Core component returns and credit tracking, Warranty claim filing and claim tracking, assisting with the annual budget preparation, Departmental KPI tracking, KPI trending and compliance reporting. 

 

The mobile maintenance Planning team supports, when required emergency work that takes place outside of the normal planning and scheduling process to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR) and support equipment availability targets.  

 

Responsibilities:


  • Enforce adherence and compliance to weekly and monthly equipment fleets PM and PCR schedules.
  • Responsible for oversight and monitoring of scheduled major repair and or similar projects to include proper manpower staffing levels and project critical path documents. 
  • Create weekly/monthly trend reporting on KPI’s as PM/PCR compliance, MTBF, MTTR, FFPPM. 
  • Indirect responsibilities include but not limited to ensuring PM & Pre-PM scheduling accuracy, backlog management, work order creation, updating accurate work order BOM’s, ensure accurate equipment data entry, parts ordering, and warehouse inventory monitoring.
  • Ensure and or create weekly/monthly departmental costs, monthly accruals totals, core, and warranty credit reports. 
  • Set planning departmental T-12 priorities and goals; measure and evaluate performance against established goals.
  • Work directly with the CBM team, assisting with oil sample analysis, analyzing bad actors and develop effective solutions at both strategic and functional levels.
  • Reporting directly to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent but work closely with Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor and contractors to ensure planned actions are in place to deliver results consistent with the department dashboard key performance indicators (KPI) metrics.
  • Generate and complete requisitions, purchase orders, sole source justification and management of change documents and procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with SCM team to maximize level of critical spare, service inventory/consignment part are at adequate stocking levels.
  • Monitor vendor agreements and performance to ensure service level standards are maintained and that all operational expenses are consistent with contractual obligations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of maintenance related continuous Maintenance and Reliability improvement Projects and Initiatives.
  • Promote succession planning and team member development.
  • Ensure planning department participation of job walks with identified stakeholders to ensure project plan incorporate the right parts, procedure, resources, and timelines are met in a timely manner with emphasis on company safety and environmental policies and procedures and relevant regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Ensure internal document control are accurate and timely, i.e., Component change, Core return and, Warranty claim forms.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred, or substantial technical background in surface mobile maintenance equipment.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in mine equipment maintenance required.
  • Knowledgeable with Xeras, Viziya, Oracle/EAM scheduling tool or similar systems. Proficient with Excel and spreadsheet Avent-X Mobile App will be desirable.
  • Adept in strategic planning, preventative maintenance, condition monitoring and reliability engineering.
  • Proficient in asset management strategy by developing maintenance strategies and performance metrics to increase efficiency, monitor maintenance planning KPI’s, schedule compliance, component tracking, planned component replacement (PCR) and major component replacement schedule, work order and backlog management.
  • Well versed in establishing a disciplined approach to maintaining critical consignment spares to manage immediate and future material requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of advanced maintenance and operational procedures, utilizing best practice work management process and be able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and use teamwork to solve problems.
  • Effective oral and written communication to include interpersonal and interviewing skills, involving sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activity, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.
