Job Summary:
The Scrum Master II is responsible for assisting in guiding the Agile Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
Essential Functions:
- Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and lead by example. Responsible to hold team accountable to the tenants of agile and working agreements including the use of appropriate tools, standards and best practices
- Promote and demonstrate core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
- Empower the team to self-organize around achievement of their commitments
- Assist in identifying and removing most impediments and distractions that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver against their commitments and know when to escalate for support in removing these
- Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice where appropriate
- Assist the team in tracking and communicating team progress and metrics
- Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity
- Coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information for better visibility
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog
- Open to coaching and effectively applies concepts and techniques recommended by coach
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience utilizing Agile or any other iterative process to deliver project or program deliverables or solutions is required
- Software development experience in full life cycle software development environments is highly preferred
- Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Modeling, Cloud Computing preferred
- Experience leading software development or IT infrastructure teams is preferred
- Business management experience or stakeholder relationship management experience is preferred
- Management or leadership experience is preferred
- Prior experience in healthcare information technology is preferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Advanced computer skills
- Software Development Life Cycle Methodology and practices
- Software Testing Life Cycle Methodology and practices
- Understand basic fundamentals of agile development
- Understand other processes and methodologies and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
- Knowledge of basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
- Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
- Understand backlog tracking, burn down metrics, and team velocity
- Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within the organization and across multiple organizational layers
- Excellent system analysis and collaboration skills
- Must be effective and efficient in identifying and proposing creative, innovative solutions to complex, time-critical challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals
Licensure and Certification:
- Professional Scrum Master certification is preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$81,400.00 - $130,200.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
