POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Bid Support role provides administrative assistance to the Bids Department, including bid processing, data entry, RFP preparation, and maintaining customer communication. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in distribution or foodservice is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Data entry.
- Bid processing (processing samples, assembling documentation for bids, collecting bid recaps from prior years)
- Internal and external data updates.
- Maintain “Item Status Report” for internal and external customer use.
- Process new and discontinued items.
- Create and maintain sustainable working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Manage exception reports.
- Preparation of RFP/Bid‘s.
- Creation of New Items within our ERP system
- Work with Customer Service Department to respond to customer questions or requests, including daily order substitutions.
- Assist in developing and streamlining contract/cost related procedures.
- General administrative duties (filing, scanning, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- 10-key by touch.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Distribution, Foodservice, Accounting and/or Microsoft NAV experience a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and excel under pressure.
