- Office in Algona
Responsible for the management and maintenance of the physical infrastructure, including buildings, equipment and systems. Ensure facilities are safe, functional and efficient while adhering to regulations. Oversees maintenance projects and coordinates with contractors.
Responsibilities:KEY TASKS
- Prepare cost estimates and recommendations for facility improvements
- Lead the concept, design, sourcing and project management of infrastructure projects such as air, water, building, lighting, conveyors
- Design and implement cost reductions
- Provide input into long range facility plan
- Lead and/or participate in kaizen/continuous improvement efforts
- Assist maintenance department with PM program, ordering parts, and keeping spare parts inventory
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering degree
- Proficient in computer applications: Microsoft Office, 2D AutoCAD, 3D modeling software
- Proficient in verbal and written technical communications
PREFERENCES
- Manufacturing plant experience
- Experience with building codes, regulations, OSHA standards, etc.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical, construction, plumbing, etc.
- Trained in reading blueprints/technical drawings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Able to work around moderate levels of noise, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, etc. on plant floor (typical factory environment)
- Occasional extended hours on special projects
