Summary
This position will provide ongoing improvements in quoting processes, efficiency and quality of information that can be directly measured to improvements in gross profit and throughput.
Essential Duties
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and promotes “Safety First” mentality across team
• Interpret technical information provided by the customer and produce material costs and technical proposals.
• Work effectively to support sales, engineering, operations, and the project management team.
• Understand customer needs and interface directly with customers at times.
• Work directly with vendors when selecting and obtaining quotations for electrical components.
• Work closely will all departments to ensure a smooth transition of information once a quoted opportunity becomes a job.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Strong understanding of low- and medium-voltage switchgear, power distribution centers, and related electrical power systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, UL, IEEE) and ability to interpret electrical and mechanical design specifications.
• Skilled in analyzing customer requirements and translating them into cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and submittal packages for custom-engineered products.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; capable of coordinating across engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and product specifications for system integration.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience and understanding of low and medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, power monitoring, power distribution, will be helpful.
Preferred Education/Experience
• 4-year degree in project management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field
• Experience in a manufacturing related environment preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment adjoining an active manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Use of standard office equipment is necessary, and the employee may need to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
