The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a key change agent and primary resource in driving the facility's Lean transformation by fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all functions through cross-functional collaboration utilizing Parker Lean systems. The role requires a data-driven approach to problem solving and a strong commitment to driving operational excellence in alignment with the corporate WIN Strategy.

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Support and aid steering committees, Starpoint Teams, and Natural High Performing Teams (HPTs) that are established at the location by implementing the Lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to the Parker Lean System (PLS).
Aid in supporting a safe ergonomic working environment for all employees in the facility.
Facilitate & drive all Kaizen activity, savings, actions through the Kaizen Promotion Office for the entire site.
Facilitate & lead Kaizen events at all levels in the organization from site leader to individual team members using the Parker Lean System & problem-solving tools
Ensure adherence to all Parker Lean System standards for the Site, Value Stream and Team Improvement Boards, enabling a PDCA culture and progression of the Lean Journey.
Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes including conducting process analysis, floor layouts, Value Stream Mapping, Constraint identification/management, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from the operators/ production technicians.
Guide engagement in all HPTs & facilitate/support weekly on the floor walks (Genba), monthly steering meetings, BARNs & kaizen activity.
Use and train others to use Lean and Problem Solving tools to solve business problems related to Safety, Quality, Delivery Cost and drive Value Stream & Team improvement task list closure.
Purchase tools, materials that aid continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure productivity and project tracking data entry & metrics are appropriate, accurate and complete for entire site.
Ensures on-going education of all employees at the Plant in Lean and trains associates how to continually eliminate waste. Promotes a Continuous Learning environment.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 4 years of successful manufacturing experience including at least 2 years of Lean experience
A demonstrated understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-in-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, 5S, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, and SPC
Strong data analysis skills and experience with Microsoft Office required. Visio & CAD experience a plus
Experience leading and facilitating Kaizen events
Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
