IT Support Technician (Part-Time)

Location: Campbell Supply Company – South Brunswick NJ
Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Campbell Supply Company is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for IT issues across the company, helping ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll provide hands-on technical support, assist with cybersecurity initiatives, and gain exposure to IT projects and infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for IT helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.

  • Provide desktop support for hardware, software, printers, peripheral devices, and business-specific applications.

  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions in the ticketing system.

  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the IT Manager.

  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, including training, phishing simulations, and awareness efforts.

  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, data integrity projects, and paperless conversion.

  • Participate in hardware and network upgrades (cabling, switches, wireless, desktops, servers, monitors).

  • Configure and deploy new devices to end users, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments on IT needs and provide backup for routine IT tasks.

  • Maintain professional, clear communication with team members and end users.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; ongoing IT coursework or training is a plus.

  • Entry-level IT experience preferred but not required.

  • Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, Microsoft Office, and desktop support.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and perform tasks requiring walking, standing, and bending.

  • Willingness to travel to other company locations (approx. once per month).
