Position Summary
We are seeking a Chemical Laboratory Manager to support our advanced R&D and manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and organized chemical-handling areas while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
As the Chemical Lab Manager you will:
- Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) records for all chemicals.
- Oversee chemical purchasing and provide safety consultations for new projects.
- Manage chemical waste handling and disposal.
The position also includes operation and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, including (but not limited to):
- Gas Chromatography (GC)
- High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- UV-Vis Spectroscopy
- FTIR Spectroscopy
- Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
Additionally, you will contribute to applied R&D projects by supporting experimental design and execution.
Qualifications
- Education:
- BS in Chemistry preferred, OR
- AS in Chemistry plus 3+ years of laboratory/chemical hygiene experience
- Experience & Skills:
- Hands-on laboratory experience required
- Familiarity with chemical hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Other Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship (required by ITAR regulations)
- GPA > 3.3 at all degree levels
