POSITION SPECIFICS
The laboratory of Associate Professor Mark Hedglin in the Chemistry Department at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position to work in the areas of molecular biology, biochemistry and biophysical chemistry.
The position requires a PhD in Chemistry (or an equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field) with a focus on cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) and/or single molecule optical tweezers-fluorescence microscopy. Researchers with training/expertise in expressing and purifying recombinant proteins from the baculovirus/insect cell expression system are highly-preferred, but individuals trained in other methods of protein expression and purification are welcome to apply.
