Title: HR Generalist
Reports to: Manager of Human Resources and Warehouse Manager, Mucci PAC USA
Based at: Mucci Pac USA Ltd., Romulus, MI (On-site)
Type of Employment: Full-Time, permanent on-site, 5-days a week; and some additional hours which may include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Complete bi-weekly payroll including administration of timesheets, time adjustments, earnings and deductions. Participates in yearend activities including production of W2’s and balancing of accounts to GL and tax authorities
- Implementation of HR metrics to support business growth within business unit
- Onboarding and orientation of new employees
- Maintain positive employee relations and resolve complex issues through proper investigation and mediation with Managers and employees
- Collaborate with Human Resources Manager and Talent Acquisition with company total rewards system including merit increases, promotions, service awards and incentives
- Maintain compliance with all employment related government standards and assist in developing policies, procedures, handbooks and internal audit processes to ensure adherence
- Maintain performance management system including performance review tracking and distribution of forms and performance counselling where necessary
- Maintain logs of progressive discipline and attendance management
- Ensure consistency within process and guide Managers and Supervisors through process where necessary
- Lead employee engagement initiatives such as employee surveys, employee incentive programs and social events within the business unit
- Identify training needs to support employee development and implement group and individual training initiatives that support key organizational competencies
- Assist with implementation of companywide training programs through Corporate
- Administer Workers Compensation, RTW programs and set key metrics for reduction of experience rating
- Participate and provide appropriate records for customer and external audits from government agencies when required
- Track and report on HR metrics such as attendance, turnover and headcount in accordance with company reporting periods and standards
- Maintain accurate and up to date HR records and files in ADP Workforce Now
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- University/College diploma or certificate in Human Resources is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll
- Proven experience in employee relations, compensation management, policy and procedure implementation and training
- Knowledge of all HR related legislative requirements: Payroll, Fair Labor Standards Act, Workers Compensation Act, Civil Rights Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, etc.
- Proven ability to investigate employee relations and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to reprioritize tasks as needed
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner (English) with all levels of the organization
- Intermediate to advance experience with ADP payroll, Microsoft Suite, (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be willing and able to work on-site daily
Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
