Job Description
As a Business Development Manager, you are a natural hunter who will be instrumental in driving new business acquisitions and identifying opportunities for cross-selling. With high volume internally generated leads combined with your flair to generate your own; countless opportunities and great commissions are in abundance for those willing to work hard.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with Courier Franchisees and utilising your natural flair to generate new business leads.
Maintaining a robust and accurate sales pipeline.
Implementing new business development initiatives to fuel growth.
Building and nurturing strong relationships with key contacts.
You are well supported by a strong and agile management team with fast and responsive decision making, a wonderful and inclusive business culture and an operations team that is going from strength to strength with the recent installation of an industry leading freight sorting automation system and service levels exceeding the competition.
What you'll be doing…
Lead and Innovate: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
Build Relationships: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with key contacts in both existing and new accounts.
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute growth strategies to maintain and grow sales pipeline.
Collaborate: Work closely with Courier Franchisees and utilising your network to generate compelling proposals/solutions and identify new business leads.
Achieve Results: Drive revenue growth and achieve set targets and KPIs.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Previous experience in a sales role (industry experience is advantageous but not a necessity).
A strong drive for achieving results and a hands-on approach to building new business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Self-motivation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce an advantage).
