This highly strategic and facilitative role requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active role to enhance the Regional Banking President’s (RBP) effectiveness by Acting as a main point of contact and advisor to the RBP and serve as a liaison between the RBP and their direct reports. Provide strategic vision through thought leadership and planning, requiring an innovative approach to break through opportunities for the line of business; Supporting the RBP by driving the successful execution of the Regional Banking strategic plan by facilitating the priority setting and scorecard reporting processes (i.e. defining objective performance metrics for each priority), partnering with leaders’ to support efforts to execute the strategy, and coordinating updates to strategic initiatives; Serving as a key thought partner to the RBP by identifying, facilitating, leading and/or supporting creative solutions to critical business challenges. Provide identification of issues that could impact the successful execution of commitments/initiatives; Supporting the RBP in driving their leadership team toward clear, efficient, effective, and accountable decision-making; Understanding the budget process and partnering with Finance to provide research and analysis on financial impacts from committed deliverables; Leading, facilitating, and managing the Commercial Development Program; Independently leading and managing projects from conception to completion; Assisting the RBP with internal communication and establishing a standardized communication cadence; Partnering with the Regional Banking HR Business Partner(s) to identify and influence career development opportunities, succession planning for the division, establishing new roles when necessary, and staffing challenges; and other duties as assigned. Must have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years business-related experience OR a combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background; Ability to be self-motivated and an independent thinker; Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills; Strong interpersonal skills to be a natural team connector with strong influence skills who can achieve actionable results through others, build strong and sustainable relationships and interact with all levels of the organization; Ability to be a strategic thinker with proven ability to lead change organizationally; Strong relationship management skills that include partnering and consulting; Exceptional verbal and written communication with attention to detail to convey abstract ideas clearly; Strong project management skills with ability to independently manage and structure complex programs and project objectives in a matrixed organization with multiple work streams; Background and knowledge of Business Development, Sales & Marketing, and budgeting.
Compensation Range:
$110,250.00 - $235,810.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
