Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will help implement Choctaw Nation’s environmental programs for all tribal facilities and fee and trust lands. You will report to the Direct of Environmental Compliance.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will collect data on sample collections, inspections, and walk throughs to assist with the compliance of federal, state, local, and tribal regulations and provide information to senior coordinators for reporting purposes.
2. You will assist senior coordinators by gathering information at sites where environmental related issues have been reported and relaying important information to Senior Coordinators.
3. You will follow Choctaw Nation environmental policies.
4. You will implement environmental policies and best management practices.
5. You will maintain good documentation of all job-related activities.
6. You will help complete grant tasks and compiling quarterly progress reports to EPA Project Officer. Complete status and progress reporting documents per program goals. Help maintain budget spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
7. You will work on posts for social media as well as creating videos for training related to codes, policies, procedures, and outreach.
8. You will develop and deliver trainings via Hoshonti, In-Person, and any other media identified for CNO and EPS staff as well as external persons as required.
9. Other tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
· Associates degree in a science related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Work independently or in a group and manage priorities with guidance and input from manager
· 0-1 years experience

Responsibilities
- Develop and produce educational videos and training materials covering a range of environmental topics, from waste management to energy conservation, to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices.
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual trainings to employees, tailoring the content to different departments and roles to ensure maximum impact and understanding.
- Create and execute marketing and outreach campaigns, utilizing various channels and platforms, to engage the community and showcase our environmental initiatives and achievements.
- Craft social media content and strategies to promote environmental awareness, highlighting our organization's sustainability efforts and engaging with a wider audience.
- Stay abreast of the latest environmental regulations and industry trends, ensuring our organization remains compliant and up-to-date with best practices.
- Collaborate with diverse departments to integrate environmental considerations into daily operations, fostering a culture of sustainability across the organization.
- Conduct thorough audits and inspections to identify potential environmental risks and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on our environmental performance, highlighting areas of improvement and success, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Research and recommend innovative sustainable solutions and technologies to enhance our environmental footprint and drive continuous improvement.
- Represent our organization's commitment to sustainability by engaging with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and environmental organizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a closely related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a passion for environmental conservation.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, sustainability, or a relevant field, demonstrating a track record of successful initiatives and a deep understanding of industry standards.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex environmental concepts and engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in creating engaging educational content, including video production, graphic design, and other multimedia formats, to deliver impactful messages.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices, with a commitment to staying updated on emerging trends and developments.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is highly advantageous, enabling effective monitoring and evaluation of our environmental performance.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation is essential, allowing you to effectively promote our sustainability efforts and engage with a wider audience.
