Description:

The Admissions Office is seeking to hire two Temporary Office Assistants. The Temporary Admissions Office Assistants report to the Director of Music Admissions. These positions provide clerical assistance and support in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment. Juilliard Admissions receives and processes about 5,000 applications and manages on-site auditions for almost 1,400 music applicants and about 2,700 dance and drama applicants. INTERVIEWS WILL BEGIN IMMEDIATELY.

These are full-time, temporary, hourly positions. Each position is paid hourly at $22/hour, and both are eligible for overtime. There are two shift schedules:

October 27, 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) through April 10, 2026. The employment period may be extended beyond April 10, 2026, should the Office of Admissions need further support. This longer-term temp must be available for both acting and music auditions (see dates below).

January 20, 2026 through March 13, 2026. This shorter-term temp only needs to be available for the music auditions (see dates below).

Please specify in your cover letter which shift schedule you prefer and are applying for. You may request to be considered for both roles through the cover letter. Submission of a cover letter is a requirement of all applicants for this role. Please include at least 2 references in your materials.

The Office of Admissions interfaces with the public regularly on campus. Due to the nature of these positions, the successful candidates are expected to work in-person for the full duration of employment. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Both positions are required to be available for all audition days which include weekends, early mornings, and late nights. Schedule adjustments will be made to stay within a 40-hour workweek. However, if adjustments are not possible due to the workload, overtime hours will be paid per institutional policy. The successful candidates must commit to the full duration of the work period according to the schedule they are hired for, and must be available to work all audition dates, consistent with their position, as follows:

  • December 13-15, 2025 (music)
  • January 8-10, 2026 (acting)
  • January 16-19, 2026 (acting)
  • January 23-25, 2026 (acting)
  • February 27-March 6, 2026 (music)
