At KXTV, a TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in SACRAMENTO, CA, our top priority is providing our clients with the best marketing and advertising strategy for their business and the best customer service in the market. The Sales Assistant supports our Account Manager’s efforts as they take ownership of fulfillment in such a way that the AE can play their role of being client-facing, creating opportunities and closing revenue. The Sales Assistant will work with the AM as they manage the day-to-day responsibilities of accounts to ensure proper implementation of their solutions. This is a part-time, temporary position of at least six months with the possibility of turning into a permanent, full-time position. This position will report to the Sales Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Partners with Account Managers on post-sales activity including order entry and the day-to-day responsibilities of accounts to ensure proper implementation of their solutions, broadcast and digital.
• Assist Programming staff with the daily administration of managing logs and station programming.
• Processes client posts, supplies pre/post log times, sending invoice copies and assists with a vast array of duties as needed.
• Works in a team environment to achieve individual and team goals and provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Coordinate with team to set up new customer accounts, contracts, order entry, and revisions.
• Plans, organizes and prioritizes workflow to meet team goals and deadlines.
• Uses WideOrbit Traffic to prepare reports and provides back-up as needed for Account Managers.
• Provides support and works closely with sales staff, local, national and digital.
• Performs the duties of the other team members as needed.
Requirements:
• 3-4 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment plus high school diploma (or GED equivalent).
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivation and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes.
• Demonstrate ability to be creative, flexible, and able to adapt to change with evolving priorities.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, advertising solutions and WideOrbit Traffic is highly desirable.
• Understanding of Microsoft suite of products required.
