About the Role:
As the Manager, Partner Onboarding (Player/Coach), you will lead by example—directly onboarding new partners while also managing and mentoring a team of onboarding coordinators. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring every new partner; ISO, ISV, or Referral is educated, activated, and empowered to succeed within their first 30 days. You will also oversee and continuously improve the onboarding process, ensuring consistency, scalability, and a high-quality partner experience. This dual-role position requires a professional who thrives in both execution and leadership, combining hands-on partner engagement with strategic oversight of the onboarding function.
Responsibilities:
Player Responsibilities (Individual Contributor Focus):
- Directly train new partners on MX Connect, including Account Boarding, Cases, Reporting, and Compensation.
- Formally introduce new partners to Priority products and onboard new partners on Priority’s platforms, including MX Connect, MX Merchant, Passport (unified banking solution, Plastiq, Payroll, Priority Capital, Terminals, e|tab and other relevant products as needed.
- Guide partners through account boarding, case management, reporting, and compensation tools.
- Support partners with initial operational needs, including Underwriting, Risk, Deployment, and Customer Service.
- Ensure successful partner activation (e.g., 5+ active accounts within 30 days).
- Audit compensation statements and ensure partners understand earnings and payout models.
- Track and report individual partner progress, providing detailed documentation and analysis.
- Facilitate seamless transition of activated partners to Strategic Account Management or Partner Support teams.
Manager/Coach Responsibilities (Leadership Focus):
- Lead and mentor the onboarding team, fostering a high-performance, partner-first culture.
- Oversee the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle, ensuring consistency and quality across coordinators.
- Create and implement QA processes for training, coaching the team on delivery excellence.
- Monitor & update reporting, team KPIs (activation rates, training success, support quality), identifying areas for improvement.
- Act as an escalation point for complex partner onboarding issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Sales) to align onboarding with company goals.
- Identify opportunities for automation, improved documentation, and onboarding efficiency.
Contribute to onboarding strategy and scalability plans as Priority’s partner ecosystem grows.

- Strong collaboration with Sales, Product, Support, and Legal.
Candidate Requirements:
Required:
- 1–2 years of people leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience.
- Experience onboarding and training partners in a fast-paced sales/service environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO, ISV, and Referral partner models.
- Familiarity with sales partner residual compensation structures and common issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- 3–5 years in partner onboarding, customer success, or relationship management in fintech, SaaS, or payments.
Preferred:
5+ years total in fintech, payments, or software onboarding roles.
Experience building or scaling onboarding teams or programs.
Knowledge of Priority’s platforms (MX Connect, MX Merchant, Priority Capital, Passport).
Working knowledge of underwriting, risk, and merchant deployment processes.
Experience with QA design, process documentation, or LMS systems.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation range: $88,000 - $115,000
