Summary of Job Purpose

 

The Marketing Manager holds a leadership position on the Marketing Team. This position supports the daily operations of Marketing including Front Desk operations. This position works closely and in alignment with the strategy and direction of the Marketing Director.  Daily oversight of all aspects of the company’s marketing efforts, including but not limited to online marketing, e-commerce, advertising, direct and e-mail marketing, sales program development, press releases, collateral materials, social media campaigns and promotions. This position is a key member of the Dodge Ridge team.

  1. Demonstrates and promotes an on-going commitment to delivering excellent customer service with guests and team members, in a collaborative and courteous manner.
  2. Leads and supports daily department and companywide marketing efforts and goals, operationally focused.
  3. Collaborates to foster a sales-oriented environment to enhance and drive sales while matching the needs of our guests.
  4. Oversees office workflow, logistics, deadlines and work product; willingness and ability to work flexible schedules including early morning (5am) shift to handle snow reporting duties.
  5. Participates in hiring and is responsible for motivating and managing staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives. 
  6. Ensures coordination of daily maintenance of Marketing platforms including updating of website, snow reports, databases, and department procedures. 
  7. Supports and participates with the coordination of events and promotions, on and off-site, and may represent the Company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the Company.
  8. Oversee the Front Desk team by providing support, coordinating activities and developing sales plans.
  9. Assists the Marketing Director with press releases, promotions, advertising, collateral materials, partnerships, social media campaigns and web development.
  10. Analyzes data for planning and evaluation of programs and services and sales opportunities.
  11. Responsible for promoting a positive attitude within the organization and community. 
  12. Assists in evaluating financial and profitability goals through planning and budgeting. 
  13. Responsible for company-wide marketing communications.
  14. Understanding of and compliance with resort specific policies and procedures.
  15. Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:

  • Be a leader in safety for the department, ensuring workplace safety is a top priority. 
  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Have the ability to effectively control and coordinate staff in an emergency situation.

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

 

  • Proven supervisory experience 
  • 3+ years in Marketing operations or similar execution heavy role (resort and/or outdoor experience preferred)
  • Proficiency with CMR/web publishing, comparable ESP/CRM, Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager, Google Ads
  • A general working knowledge of the Microsoft Office, Adobe CC/Canva, light photo editing, copywriting.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, QA discipline, and attention to detail; able to meet early-morning and weekend deadlines.
  • Safety and risk management oriented, adhering and enforcing company policies.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules, including the 5 am snow phone duties as requested.
  • Maintain clean, well-organized, and professional workstations.
  • Intermediate or higher skiing or riding skills preferred.
  • Have the willingness to continually learn, grow and update knowledge.
  • Excellent professional written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to collaborate and work with other departments, team oriented.
  • Good physical conditioning, including flexibility, strength and endurance, including heavy and awkward lifting to 50lbs.
