DETAILS:

Install, configure, and support the organization's networks (e.g., LAN, WAN). Maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Maintain all firewalls, switch stacks, switches, routers as well as network hardware. Monitor network performance, conduct analysis/testing, and ensure secure and reliable operation. Monitor firewall and backup solutions, resolve connectivity issues and service disruptions, test the network for weakness, and create and maintain a disaster recovery plan. Evaluate new network systems and applications and recommend upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to users. Design, configure, implement and maintain firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion detection and prevention systems. Design, configure, implement and maintain systems including VMWare and Hyper-V virtual server hosts, Linux and Windows servers. Monitor/Maintain Domain Policies, DNS, DHCP and other integrated systems. Develop and maintain documentation of the systems and network architecture. Perform after-hours

implementations, maintenance, and problem resolution as required. Some weekend work is required. Support and maintain systems backup and recovery processes. Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.). Maintain network security. Design, configure, implement and maintain firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion detection and prevention systems. Design, configure, implement and maintain systems including VMWare and Hyper-V virtual server hosts, Linux and Windows servers. Perform after-hours implementations, maintenance, and problem resolution as required. Some weekend work is required. Ability to work well with little supervision. Support and maintain systems backup and recovery processes. Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.). Maintain network security.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field plus 1 year of experience in the offered position or related position.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Required expertise/knowledge includes:

• Experience with ITIL best practices, including Service Lifecycle Approach, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog Management, Automation and Customer Experience.
• Large scale web site systems administrations experience.
• Automotive industry experience, including understanding the IT needs of the automotive industry environment and understanding of automotive IT solutions including EDI, MPLS, ERP and EAI interface.
• Experience administering high volume Linux servers.
• Experience with open-source technologies, including Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS and Fedora); Apache HTTP Server and Nginx; MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB; Python, Ruby and PHP; and Git for version control, Jenkins for continuous integration and Docker for containerization.
• Experience with Database Technologies (SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL).
• Network configuration experience with firewalls and load balancers.
• Experience with release management processes.
• Cloud computing experience (AWS, OpenStack).
• Experience with various networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, NIS, LDAP and NFS.
• Knowledge of networking, load balancer and Cisco equipment.
• VMWare Virtual Center experience.
• Knowledge of file replication and content management systems.

OTHER: 

Job Site: Greenville, AL and West Point, GA.

40 hours/week. 

Salary range: $54,850 per year to $65,000 per year.
