CTG is seeking to fill an Enterprise Architecture AWS Engineer with Java opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

 

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months

 

Duties:

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise applications leveraging Java/JEE and AWS cloud services.

  • Implement enterprise architecture best practices for scalability, resiliency, and security within cloud-native environments.

  • Develop solutions using Java frameworks and additional languages such as Ruby or Groovy for web technologies.

  • Utilize architectural patterns including dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming.

  • Integrate applications with enterprise systems and data access frameworks.

  • Manage transaction processing, batch workloads, and functional programming tasks.

  • Apply DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools for efficient deployment and operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, ensure alignment with business goals, and provide technical leadership.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Java/JEE and related frameworks.

  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).

  • Experience with enterprise integration, transaction management, and batch processing.

  • Proficiency in dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Spring).

  • Familiarity with Ruby, Groovy, or other JVM-based languages.

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise application development with Java/JEE.

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud engineering and architecture.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing scalable enterprise solutions and integrating distributed systems.

  • Background in functional programming, test-driven development, and CI/CD automation.

  • Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
