Summary
The main objective of this position is to contribute to the overall profitability of the organization through downtime reduction activities utilizing tools and methods of the Toyota Production System.
These activities can be, but are not limited to, activities such as equipment improvements to increase productivity, labor reduction activities, process and material flow improvements, energy consumption reduction, and documentation/yokoten of processes using existing systems within the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safety minded
- Well versed in all Microsoft Office application including Access.
Excellent communication skills - both oral and written such as email, and proven ability to work across multiple departments to complete objectives.
Very strong computer skills including experience/proficiency with computer programming.
General understanding of production processes and machinery.
Experience with surface and through mount electronics.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Experience with parts and information flow throughout a manufacturing system.
Define improvement ideas and present to various levels of management.
Ability to self-manage projects and time.
Working knowledge of Toyota Production System a plus.
Participate in Cross Functional Teams as assigned.
Support other departments as needed.
Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by the Supervisor or Management.
Salary: $18.40 per hour

Qualifications, Education & Experience Required
- High School diploma or GED
- Current student in related technical field preffered.
Work Environment
Some dust, noise ,oils, grease, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.
Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.
