Position Overview

Lead Hill Bros' safety and compliance program with focus on driver safety, training and coaching, and DOT compliance. Drive safety culture while ensuring regulatory compliance and managing driver qualification programs.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

• Champion company safety strategy and serve as primary contact for driver safety issues
• Communicate regulatory changes and foster culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Driver Training & Coaching

• Develop and deliver safety training programs and driver orientation
• Lead corrective action coaching and partner with departments on driver recognition initiatives

Compliance Management

• Ensure DOT and regulatory compliance; maintain driver qualification and CDL records
• Conduct audits, investigations, and compliance reporting
• Oversee truck registration and related documentation
• Supervise Safety Coordinator and Application Processor

Program Development

• Create and update safety policies and manuals
• Analyze safety metrics to identify trends and implement improvements
• Manage permits, licensing, and regulatory documentation

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Transportation, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Transportation safety certifications preferred
• Driver training and coaching experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety systems

Key Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMW Suite, Tenstreet) helpful
