We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temp Order Processing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of customer orders from initiation to fulfillment. Your tasks will include handling customer inquiries, reviewing orders for accuracy, coordinating with shipping departments, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
- Order Management:
- Receive and review customer orders (via phone, email, or online systems) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Enter order details into the system and generate order confirmation.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure products are available to fulfill orders.
- Process changes or cancellations of orders as needed.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or any issues.
- Address inquiries related to order tracking, pricing, or product availability.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordination with Other Departments:
- Work closely with the shipping and fulfillment teams to ensure timely processing and dispatch of orders.
- Collaborate with inventory management to ensure stock levels meet order requirements.
- Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer orders and order-related communications.
- Ensure that all invoices and shipping documents are correct and ready for distribution.
- Shipping & Delivery:
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped correctly.
- Track orders to ensure they reach customers on time and handle any delivery issues.
- Process returns and exchanges as necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Proven experience in order processing, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in order management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of shipping methods and logistics is a plus.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with CRM software and ERP systems.
- Basic knowledge of accounting or billing processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude.
Work Environment:
- Temp with 40 hours week, with occasional overtime.
