Job Summary:
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist/Coordinator is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance and product registration activities across North America or global markets for animal feed nutrition. This role ensures that Alltech’s products, facilities, and documentation meet all applicable regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and international standards. The Specialist/Coordinator works cross-functionally with internal departments and external regulatory agencies to maintain Alltech’s strong compliance standing, support ongoing market access, and contribute to the organization’s commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory excellence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation, submission, and maintenance of product registrations, dossiers, and other regulatory filings in North America and internationally.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements (federal, state, or international) and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and execution of regulatory strategies for product approval and market entry.
- Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures for operational compliance and streamlined reporting and escalation of regulatory matters.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide technical review of product documentation, including labels, Methods of Manufacture, Flowcharts, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and product specification sheets.
- Track and manage regulatory projects and deadlines to ensure timely submissions and renewals
- Support the creation and delivery of regulatory training programs for internal teams
- Assist in resolving regulatory challenges and responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies and customers.
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to regulatory activities.
- Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews as needed.
- Attend training programs to maintain expertise in regulatory issues.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards (North American and international) related to animal feed and pesticide products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees, customers, and regulatory authorities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Effective collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in a foreign language would be an asset.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Regulatory Affairs, Science, Business, International Studies, or related field and 2-5 years preferred.
- Experience in regulatory affairs or compliance in agriculture, food, or feed; international experience preferred.
- Experience working with global regulatory agencies (Feed or Food) strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to navigate office and facility environments.
- Must be able to accommodate occasional needs for travel up to 25% (domestic and internationally).
