Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Public Safety Director or Public Safety Sergeant. Ability to drive safely relating to Illinois Traffic Rules and Regulations. Employee will need to recognize and respond to the needs and behaviors of patients in a variety of age groups, such as pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the department vehicles in a dependable, efficient, safe and reliable manner
- Transports patients, employees, mail, specimens and other hospital activities which require driving
- Patrols hospital parking lot when not transporting
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record per hospital policy
- Recognizes and responds to the needs and behaviors of patients in a variety of age groups, such as neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. (Example: Understand normal patterns of behavior
- Assist patients to and from the Motor Transportation vehicle)
- Ability to know the city streets regarding directions and landmarks.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current IL Driver’s license is required

Compensation:
Pay or shift range: $19.00 USD to $20.00 USD
