Duties: Shipping and Receiving Assistant

  1. Ship shipments properly per each customer requirement including- labeling, documentation, packaging, shipment routing, BOL, etc.
  2. Ensure accuracy of all shipping documentation
  3. Maintain shipping verification form to ensure all packaging, labeling, and customer requirements are met
  4. Ensure drivers depart with appropriate paperwork due to customer requests and DOT regulations
  5. Receive and label raw materials according to Raw Materials Receiving procedures
  6. Store raw materials and finished goods according to FIFO procedures
  7. Label finished goods (QC Pass, QC Hold, Reject, etc.)
  8. Scan raw materials and finished goods into correct storage location
  9. Enter receipt of goods daily via Chempax
  10. Scan raw material CoA’s daily
  11. Utilize UPS for outgoing documents and packages
  12. Loading and unloading of freight trucks
  13. Loading and unloading of empty containers
  14. Ability to Load and Unload tankers according to tank truck procedures
  15. Operate truck scale
  16. Maintain daily shipping and receiving logs
  17. Send e-mail about shipment issues at the beginning of each day
  18. Send e-mail shipping log at the end of each day
  19. Maintain tank truck calendar
  20. Keep updated spreadsheet of finished goods and DNS locations
  21. Perform client-specific duties as required- pre-labeling, post good issue, shipment routing, etc.
  22. Maintain warehouse housekeeping and utilize 5S in warehouse areas
  23. All other duties assigned by Logistics Manager


Standard Work Hours:

8:00 AM - 4:00PM, Monday -Friday. Overtime as needed.


Reporting Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Logistics Manager


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Predictive Index Assessment
  • Forklift Experience is Required
  • HAZCOM
  • PPE
  • HAZWOPER
  • Ability to use shipping and receiving modules in various systems (ERP, SAP, Chempax)
  • Microsoft Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Lifting Requirement: 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs repeatedly
