Description
Summary
The Logistics Specialist will assess open orders and release them to be fulfilled, according to company logistics processes. The Logistics Specialist communicates with customers, freight providers, and the warehouse team to ensure deliveries are executed as planned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Release sales orders for fulfillment and invoice fulfilled orders.
- Regularly monitor open sales orders to establish ongoing understanding of inventory availability, customer payment status, and customer shipping terms.
- Identify and release sales orders for LTL shipments via company logistics processes.
- Create delivery routes in both NetSuite and Samsara via company logistics processes.
- Maintains database of LTL and brokered truckload logistics data.
- Books LTL shipments within the company’s TMS.
- Assist in the warehouse with fulfillment when needed.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experiences
- Knowledge of shipping and distribution channels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times.
- Proficient with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs for shipping and receiving needs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
