POSITION SUMMARY:

The Client Deposit Services Specialist is a versatile member of the Deposit Operations team, ensuring business continuity by providing coverage during leaves or peak periods and driving process improvements across all deposit functions. This role combines hands on transactional processing, account opening and maintenance, control monitoring, project support, and cross functional training to maintain operational excellence and compliance. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Transactional Processing & Support

  • Assist clients with teller transactions and account openings, closures, updates, and general inquiries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for ACH processing, wire transfers, debit card servicing, online/mobile banking support, and deposit account maintenance as needed
  • Serve as interim coverage during medical leaves, vacations, or other high-demand periods

Process Improvement & Project Support

  • Collaborate with department leaders on projects, system upgrades, audits, and procedural reviews
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose efficiency enhancements
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures for deposit functions 
  • Participate in testing and implementation of new systems or updates to existing platforms

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, bank policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure procedures and daily activities adhere to audit standards and operational guidelines

Internal & Client Support

  • Provide high-quality support to bank employees regarding operational processes
  • Assist with client inquiries or operational escalations as needed

Other Duties

  • Perform other assignments as required to support the Deposit Operations team

WORKING CONDITIONS:


Will need to be able to handle stressful situations and function in a very fast-paced environment while remaining calm and precise. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and enjoy working with the public. Will need to communicate in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner. Willingness to travel to other branches is essential.


May, on occasion, have to work longer hours than scheduled.


Must be able to meet deadlines, multi-task and adjust priorities as necessary. Must possess strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with all levels of management and the Bank’s vendors. Must be a self-starter who challenges existing processes and can identify and implement efficiencies and cost-saving solutions. Will have access to and knowledge of all employees’ accounts, customer information, and the bank’s finances, so the ability to keep information confidential is extremely important.


The employee will be working in an indoor office setting in a light work situation (exerting up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects). Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment. Employee frequently communicates with employees, customers and vendors. Will be required to travel to branches within region on a weekly basis, so must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to exchange accurate information both orally and written in English. Employee will be required to travel to branches located within the region.


Despite ongoing security training, there is always the possibility of a bank robbery.

Role Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and quick to learn new banking systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with multiple deposit operations functions (ACH, wires, teller operations)
  • Familiarity with Jack Henry SilverLake or similar core banking platforms
  • Demonstrated involvement in process improvement or project coordination
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, reconciliation tools, and audit support activities
  • Must possess strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with all levels of management and the Bank’s vendors
  • Must be a self-starter who challenges existing processes and can identify and implement efficiencies and cost-saving solutions


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in bank operations or a comparable financial services environment
