What makes this role important at Ipsos?
The Senior Market Research Manager is an important member of the Channel Performance team, with a focus on retaining existing accounts, managing projects independently, providing proactive communication with the team, fostering organic business growth, and cultivating meaningful client relationships. This position comprises taking on significant duties, including task allocation to a direct report, and necessitates keen critical thinking skills. Furthermore, owning the client relationship, which entails frequent interactions with clients and the performance of certain duties that are critical to the success of client accounts.
Please note: This is a 12 month contracted position.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Project coordination and implementation: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the research process independently with little to no guidance. Including questionnaire writing and research design, analysis, and interpretation of results through to preparation of reports.
- People Management: utilizing strong people management skills to mentor junior researchers, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative and productive research environment.
- Inter-Service Line relationship management: Liaising on a regular basis with all key internal operations groups (data collection, data processing and results reporting) to ensure that reliable results are delivered to client in a timely, cost-efficient manner
- Client relationship management: Retain and grow client relationships by responding to queries and providing updates per client requests. This also includes identifying other areas for potential projects.
- Critical thinking: Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate research data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Communication: Proactively updating the team on projects/clients; workshopping and executing solutions with the team on potential project pitfalls
- Project management: Maintains project budget and works with team to ensure all aspects of the study continue to operate smoothly; responsible for quality assurance throughout the life cycle
This might be the job for you if you have:
- Completed bachelor's degree in related field, master’s level education an asset, or equivalent
- 4 years of market research experience; customer experience research an asset
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Data savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Mystery Shopping programs/tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously maintaining a strong client service orientation
- Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted project budgets & to create, manage, and commit to a project plan, schedule and budget
- Highly motivated, self-directed & driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
- Verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
