CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) is a leading nonprofit organization committed to empowering communities and improving lives across Cook County. We’re looking for a Community Outreach Coordinator to join our Energy Services Department and lead community-facing efforts that help families access essential utility assistance programs.
What You’ll Do:
As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you’ll support and coordinate community outreach for CEDA’s Energy Services Department, including organizing intake events, managing intake scheduling at senior homes, building relationships across Cook County communities, and developing public-facing materials. You'll be the bridge between our services and the people who need them most.
Collaborate with Energy Services Managers and Supervisors to plan and execute outreach strategies
Coordinate all aspects of intake events, including setup, staffing, and logistics
Manage intake scheduling at senior homes and maintain formal partnerships
Build and maintain relationships with utility vendors and community partners
Develop and design program outreach materials (flyers, posters, social media graphics)
Manage and maintain a calendar of outreach events and intake activities
Create and manage content across CEDA’s social media channels and website (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)

What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree
2–3 years of experience in outreach, public relations, or community engagement
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Familiar with social media platforms and content creation
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
Reliable transportation, valid Illinois driver’s license, and auto insurance
