Nixon Power Services is seeking motivated early-career professionals to join our IT Associate – Rotational Development Program. This 18–24-month structured program is designed to provide immersive, hands-on experience across multiple facets of Information Technology and Business Systems.
Participants will complete rotations with our IT Infrastructure and Business Systems teams under the guidance of the Director of IT and Manager of Business Systems. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will transition into a specialized full-time role aligned with their skills, career goals, and business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Business Systems
- Participate in ERP enhancements and integration projects.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support data integrity, reporting, and analytics across departments.
- Assist with training, change management, and adoption of new tools.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives.
- IT Infrastructure & Support
- Support day-to-day operations of networks, servers, and endpoint management.
- Assist with cybersecurity practices including user access controls and monitoring tools.
- Help troubleshoot hardware/software issues and support IT ticket resolution.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and IT compliance efforts.
- Collaborate on scalable IT solutions for business growth.
- Document system enhancements and workflows.
- Support cross-functional project coordination and testing.
- Maintain internal knowledgebase documentation.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Escalation
- Respond to user requests and escalate complex issues.
- Track recurring issues and recommend improvements.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and end users.
- Participate in meetings, project planning, and reviews.
- Data, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Assist in building dashboards and reports.
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest system enhancements.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for:
- High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field preferred.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT or Business Systems.
- Foundational knowledge of IT concepts, business applications, or ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn enterprise systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
