Community Resource Specialist at CEO Empower

Our Community Resource Center is seeking a Community Resource Specialist that will:

• Conduct outreach and individual support services to various locations throughout Rensselaer County (regular driving and field work required)
• Complete customer intakes to assess needs and link them to available resources and referrals to meet agency objectives.
• Assist with a variety of initiatives aimed at assisting children, adults, and families
• Assist with providing community members with necessary support with technology resources (connecting the unconnected) to increase digital literacy
• Assist with community wellness and education events at CEO.
• Conduct outreach and engagement to assist with communication of available resources internally and externally.
• Work with community partners and stakeholders’ community, with a specific focus on youth and families.
• Maintain files, services, and case notes for customers in a centralized intake database

Qualifications: 

• AAS degree in human services preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience providing resource services.
• High proficiency with computer skills, specifically Microsoft office, email and website access.
• Previous experience in direct customer assistance
• Understanding of how to assist individuals with technology support and training.
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and highly detail oriented.
• Clean and valid NYS driver’s license
• Candidate must be able to work in the US without the need for Visa Sponsorship
