Job Summary
The Community Schools Liaison works collaboratively to assess the school community’s needs and assets; develops, coordinates, and sustains student and family support and opportunities. The Community Schools District Liaison collaborates with the Director of Community Schools to create high quality Community Schools that promote racial and social justice, youth and family voice, and enhance the ability of young people and families to thrive. The Community Schools District Liaison collaborates with Community Schools Organizer, reports directly to the Director of Community Schools, and works in partnership with the school principals and the Eureka City Schools Student Services Department.

Start Date: ASAP (grant-funded through 6/30/29)
8 Hours/Day: 40 hours/week, Hours may vary based on District and Department needs. This position requires some evening and Saturday work.
Primary Site: Washington Elementary School
Salary placements are usually made at the beginning of the salary range for candidates that are not currently employed by Eureka City Schools.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to: Completion of two or more years of higher education (48 units), an Associate's or higher degree, or equivalent job-related experience.
Bilingual - English and Spanish (preferred).
CPR/First Aid Certificate (To be completed within the first six months of employment)
CPI Certification (To be completed within the first six months of employment)
Paraprofessional Certificate (or 48 units)
Valid California Driver’s License
