About the Role:
Are you early in your HR career and ready to take the next step? We're looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented self starter to join our HR team of three as our dedicated HR Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands on experience across the all areas of HR and grow into a true professional.
In this role, you'll:
- Take ownership of day to day HR tasks
- Work closely with the HR Director and HR team, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR functions
- Be trusted as the teams go to resource for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth HR operations
- Have opportunities to learn, contribute ideas, and expand your HR skillset as you grow your career

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Assist in conducting new hire orientations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Updating employee files in Paylocity
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Assist in driving employee engagement through communications, recognition, and retention programs.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives that align with company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, particularly Texas state regulations.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with Google Suite and HRIS systems (Paylocity).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
